Praying for rain 
on a sunny day.
Wishing for the world
in the palm of my hand.
Looking for a key
to unlock doors
aching desperate dreams.

See through me like 
shattered glass and 
wind whisper through 
rusty broken walls
Heaven and earth 
Are scarcely enough to 
keep grinning as though 
it doesnt ever matter

Seas of confusion
batter down the wings
of mighty angelic demons
And memory haunted fugues
Penetrate the senses
Tired of thinking and 
futile attempts at nothing.

Wash it down 
with bitter poison
Wring it out bone dry
To see beneath 
the ignorant rock
Shine a burning light
Into the void.
